CORRECT: Russian ‘18–19 grain export potential at 38–39 mln tns

NOVOSIBIRSK, Nov 7 (PRIME) -- Russia’s 2018-2019 grain export potential forecast remains unchanged at 38–39 million tonnes, including 34-35 million tonnes of wheat, First Deputy Agriculture Minister Dzhambulat Khatuov told reporters on Wednesday.

“At the level of 38–39 million tonnes, including wheat of 34–35 million tonnes,” Khatuov said.

The wheat exports forecast earlier amounted to 33–34 million tonnes.

The 2018–2019 agricultural year started on July 1, 2018 and will end on June 30, 2019.

Khatuov confirmed the grain harvest forecast for 2018 at 109 million tonnes. He said that Russia plans to raise harvest by 5 million tonnes annually.
